Circular Globe
A model for assessing the circular maturity of organisations
Incentive
We live in a throwaway society that places a heavy burden on our environment and society. The current economic system is oriented towards possessions and constantly growing consumption and generates an enormous amount of waste. Gloomy prospects for the future, one might think.
However, this does not have to be the case, because this is countered by the idea of the circular economy. It is based on the preservation of value, the use of renewable energy and the careful use of raw materials. A shift in thinking and a change in values is currently taking place in many people's minds. Consumers and companies have begun to make decisions with future generations in mind.
Outcome
Circular Globe is a European initiative of SQS and Quality Austria, a guideline and assessment model and serves as a compass to drive progress towards the circular economy: in planning, implementation and not least in visualisation.
Early adopters have a competitive advantage because customers want sustainable business models, the regulators are currently developing sustainable legislation (e.g. EU Taxonomy) and investors are looking for sustainable investment opportunities.
The modular structure and the multi-level nature of the label guarantee an easy entry, even for smaller companies. As long as the attitude is right, anyone can take the next steps.
Target groups
Companies and organisations of all sectors and sizes.
Validity
Varying, depending on the assessment service chosen
Recognition
The Circular Globe Label is internationally recognised. As leading assessment and certification organisations for quality and management systems, SQS and Quality Austria have many years of experience and cross-industry competence. This guarantees the high reputation and acceptance of the Circular Globe Label worldwide.
Combinations
Circular Globe can be used complementarily to integrated management systems such as ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), ISO 45001 (occupational safety and health), ISO 50001 (energy management) or ISO 31000 (risk management).
