Monitoring of construction product standards
SQS provides specific services for certain sectors of the construction industry. For example, in construction product standards: Monitoring activity is carried out by mandate of the Swiss Federation for Monitoring Stone Construction Materials (SÜGB). It is directed towards the requirements of the Construction Products Act (BauPG) and the specific standards of the Construction Products Regulation (BauPV). By working closely with the SÜGB and the inspectorate of the Association for Swiss Gravel and Concrete Industry (FSKB) an optimum combination of system and product monitoring is guaranteed. Another industry-specific SQS service is directed towards lift manufacturers. With the combined certification of ISO 9001 and the Lift Ordinance SR 930.112, customers can perform final inspections and issue the Declaration of Conformity themselves. This saves the costs of external services and enhances the company's internal expertise.

Certification pursuant to ISO 3834:2, which corresponds to an interpretation of ISO 9001 for welding operations, is directed towards companies with expertise in welding engineering in either the regulated or the free market. SQS specialists provide process optimisation and risk minimisation support to the business. By demonstrating its expertise, the company promotes confidence among its customers.
