Scope

What does scope mean?

Scope is an important concept in the world of standardisation. It refers to the scope of a specific set of rules or of a certificate issued in accordance with that set of rules. The scope is defined, for example, in relation to a location, an activity, a product or a service. For example, a certificate is issued for Muster AG at its Bern branch on the normative basis of ISO 9001 (quality management system) relating to the development and production as well as the sale and maintenance of machines and digital controls.
